For Halloween this year, our ward did a hay ride in the afternoon. The boys had a lot of fun - they got to wear their costumes and we handed out candy to different members in our ward! Then we went to the town trunk-or-treat and they had so much fun! Karson was Buzz Lightyear and Zack was Woody! (Of course, Toy Story is a huge deal in our house right now!)

My boys are funny - they would not touch the inside of the pumpkin!! Karson ad fun helping Mikey carve it out, but would have nothing to do with cleaning it out!! When he tried he screamed like a girl! But our pumpkin turned out really cool - it was Goofy's face, but I couldn't get a good picture of it.

I know it's a little late, but hey, I'm trying. So we joined a joy school for Karson and in October we went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch in Taylor. The kids had a blast and we got to pick a pumpkin to carve this year.

Last minute we decided to go to Disneyland with Heather and Myron. The girls dance there every other Spring Break, and this would have been my first year not going. Then Grandma Morris wanted to take Karson with them, and Mikey and I juat didn't want to miss out! I'm so glad we went - we had a blast! Karson loved it! He even rode the Matterhorn three times!!! We have a video of riding the first time - hopefully I can figure out how to get it off my new video camera soon!!

So I know it's been forever since I posted, so here is a little update. Just before Christmas, I was called to be the Primary President. So, needless to say that has kept me very busy. I also started up dance classes again and they are going well. Mikey has been down in Nogales working and gets to come home most weekends. So I haven't had much time to blog - here are a bunch of pics from the last few months (Christmas, sledding, Zack's 1st birthday, etc.).

LaDonna and her friend, Michelle, opened up e boutique in town yesterday. Santa came to be part of the celebration, so we took the boys over to visit Santa. Zack didn't mind Santa, he even reached for him! Karson on the other hand, was terrified! Then by the end, he would talk to him and told him he wanted a bike for Christmas. When, we got home, Karson couldn't stop talking about Santa and kept taking his picture off the tree!! I just don't get it!!!

We went to see the Mesa Temple lights on Thanksgiving night. Zacky was sick, but was good, and Karson loved the lights! Karson loves anything and everything to do with Christmas! He gets so excited - I love it!

This year Halloween was much better! Karson was happy and even had fun this year! Zack was really good,too. First, we went to grandma and grandpa's house, then the trunk-or-treat, then to the carnival at the high school. It was great!!

Potty Training!!!

So , like forever ago, Heather and Myron were at our house and Karson decided he wanted to sit on the potty. This was a very big deal because he used to scream bloody murder if I tried to have him sit. I think it helped to have a huge audience - but needless to say I was super excited. He was doing pretty good with going pee - not poop. But we have been out of town so much that we kinda take a step back each time. But, I know it will happen soon enough and for now it's still better than diapers!!!!

SURPRISE! The newest addition to our family!

So friday night, we discovered that Bella had a puppy! That's right, a puppy! We had no idea she was even pregnant! She was acting funny on friday, and now I know why! We didn't realize she had her puppy until we went to let her outaide before bed! I felt awful that she didn't have a place to have her baby, but it would have helped if I would have even known. We aren't even sure who the father is. I guess maybe we'll be able to tell when he gets older. Oh, that's right. HE! I guess we just can't have girls in our house! ha ha

Now, he's all black with one white stripe down his belly. I'll take any suggestuions for names. Mikey wants to name him Mouse, because when he first saw Bella he thought she had just caught a mouse. I think it's lame, and Heather thought weshould name him Edward, you know "Bella", but Mikey won't go for that. Suggestions anyone?

In June, I was able to go to the valley and watch my nieces dance. Also, it was Frances Campbell's 40th Anniverisary of her studio, and they invited all the alumni to the show to surprise her! We went to the Morris Family Reunion down in Whiteriver the first week in June. Karson had a blast! That kid is ALL boy and would live outside if we'd let him. We had a great time and it was so good to see everybody (eventhough we missed Grandpa Pigeons).

A few weeks ago, Mikey had a day off so we decided to go fishing at Bog Tank (one of Grandpa Pigeon's favorite places to go). Karson had a blast!

This is the year that Karson gets to have 2 birthday parties because next year he will remember and start to expect it. We do 2 parties because his birthday is so close to Easter and we are in the valley anyway. So after the Easter egg hunt, we went back to Heather and Myron's and had a party for Karson's 2nd birthday.

We made a CARS birthday cake since that's his favorite movie right now.

Ok - I know I'm way out of order, but at least I am getting some new posts in. So after we colored the Easter eggs, Myron and Mikey went to the park and hid them and then we hunted them. This year was even more fun than last with Karson - he would get so excited and then THROW the egg into his bucket. It was so much fun - Zack even found his first Easter egg!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. I had a great mother's day - I had pancakes and sausage made for my breakfast, at church we got candy bars (instead of the usual single carnation), and I got the most beautiful tulips, an orchid plant, and an iPod. Yes, I guess its about time I got one! The funny story behind it is that our Safeway in town was giving away free iPods on Saturday and I went in the morning and I was so sad that I didn't win. Well, later that afternoon Mikey went with Karson to pick out flowers and HE won!! Happy Mother's Day to me!!

We went to the valley for Easter this year- we were sad the Morris' big Easter egg hunt was cancelled due to the rain. But we went over to Heather and Myron's and colored eggs with Lacey, Tanner, Lexi, Jordan, Tyla, and Jack. They had a blast and Karson only spilled the dye once!!

Karson is such a great big brother!! He loves Zack and loves to share with him. He will walk up to him in the sweetest voice and say, "Zaaack." It is so cute! About a month ago, Zack was playing in his bouncer and I was picking up around the house. Zack started fussing so I went to pick him up. There was part of a pop-tart next to him, and when I picked him up there were pieces stuck in his hair!!! It was so funny - after all, Karson was just trying to share with his baby brother!!

Snow Day!

A few weeks before Christmas, we had gotten some snow and Mikey couldn't go to work because Lakeside had so much that no one was even going into the office. So, we took advantage of having daddy home and played in the snow. Karson loved it! He is such a spaz about having things on his head, and so after an hour or so I wanted him to go inside because his face and ears were bright red. Well, he could have cared less. Karson was sooo mad we made him come in!! He just kept crying and saying "snow!"

Well, if you haven't heard, we had the new baby on December 31st! (Woo hoo - tax write off!!) Zack McNeil Morris was born at 3:55 am, at 6lbs. 13oz. and 19 inches long. I never thought I would ever have a small baby! The delivery itself went much smoother this time around, but the cord was wrapped around his neck. He did well and is doing great at home. Karson is a great big brother! He LOVES Zack and always wants to be holding him and kissing him. It's been hard because Karson has an ear infection, so I've been trying to keep them apart, but that's really hard when he loves his brother so much!! Here are a few pics from the last week - I promise I'll blog better later since we still don't have then Internet!!

We went to the mall yesterday to see Santa. I knew it would be our only chance to go, since we don't know where we'll be for Christmas yet. We were waiting in line, and it started "snowing" (bubbles). The kids went to play and a bunch of them were standing on a bench. Karson was up there, and some little kid pushed him down and he feel flat on his back and whacked his head. This was great for picture taking!!! He was crying forever and kept rubbing his head. We tried everything to make him happy, but nothing really worked!!! And to top it off, I made him sit on some weird guy's lap!!!

I have been worried about how Karson will react to having a new baby around the house in a few weeks. This weekend, he showed that he will be a great big brother. Karson LOVED baby Joe!!! He wanted to hold him all the time, and would sit and hold him for a while. He would love and pat Joe, and loved giving him kisses. I do think that he will be good with Zack at first, but we'll see after he realizes that the baby isn't going away and that he will be taking up a lot of mommy and daddy's time!!!

I just wanted to take the time to say how grateful I am for all the blessings in my life. I am thankful for my wonderful friends and family. We got to have two Thanksgiving dinners this year - it was great! On thursday, we had dinner with the Kelly side, and on friday, the Blairs. It was awesome!!!

My friends and I went to see the movie "Twilight" the night it came out. I am so grateful to have such great friends!! We had a blast watching the movie and stuffing our faces! Then we went to Native New York for dinner - it was great to have a girls' night out before this new baby comes!!! Thanks girls - I love ya!!!

So you can tell I'm still a valley girl when I get excited that it snows!!! Anyway, a couple weeks ago, we had our first snow. And, of course, it was melted the next day and it hasn't snowed since, but I was excited none the less!!!

Halloween this year was pretty interesting. My sister Brianna, had her little boy, Joesph, about six weeks early. Luckily, he is doing pretty well and will hopefully get to go home soon! Congrats you guys!! As for us, we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church. We were there with Grandma Morris, Nichole, and Julia, and we were also there with our good friends TJ, Chaundra, and Ella. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Morris' house. After that, we went to the Friday night football game (of course). It was fun, but Karson was not so sure about the trick-or-treating thing.

As you can see, he was never very happy about wearing his ears. His costume was so cute! Grandma made the shoes for him, and he was fine, until we put the ears on him!!

Evan and Rachell's Wedding

Mikey's friends, Evan and Rachell, finally got married a couple weeks ago. We drove up to Fort Collins, Colorado (it was a VERY long drive). TJ and Chaundra flew up (LUCKY!) with Nick, too. We had lots of fun shopping and eating out (things we don't really get to do at home!!!).

Our Jack-O-Lantern

Last night, we decided to make our Jack-O-Lantern. Karson wasn't sure what we were doing, but after a while he was into it.

Karson liked the pumpkin and was very interested in what Mikey was doing. In fact, when we first started, he kept giving the pumpkin kisses!!

Karson wanted to help dig out all the stuff, but he didn't like it on his hand!

Karson kept trying to eat the stuff inside, but he would quickly spit and make his yuck sound. Then he would try to feed it to Mikey! It was so funny!

Yesterday, we went to the park with Sara, Becca, and Vanessa. We ate homemade pizza and the kids all played. There was a little girl there, and she came over and shared her sidewalk chalk with all the kids. It was so cute!

It was Mikey's birthday on Sunday - he turned 28!! Dang!! On Friday night, we had a BBQ at our house with all our friends, and then on Sunday, we had one at his parents' house with all the fam. It was so much fun!

I know it's a little late, but I wanted to post some pics and stuff from my birthday. My friends are so awesome!! They gave me a $100 gift card to Target(for maternity clothes) and $40 to go on a date with my Hubby! (Thanks guys, we went to Pasta House and it was gooooood!!!) Then they all took me out to lunch on my birthday to Bogga Red's!! I feel blessed to have such good friends, Thank you to those of you who have been there for me, especially the last week. It would have been even harder to go through that alone, and I love and appreciate you guys more than you know!!

So we had our ultrasound on Wednesday, and it's another boy!! I didn't get any pics good enough to blog, but I can assure it's a boy. We have one where it looks like he's sitting on the camera, and there are three legs!! I am getting tired of fighting Mikey about names, so I'm caving in a letting him have Zack. Plus, the next time we have a boy, I get to pick the name!!!! I am very excited for Karson to have a brother! He desperately needs a brother to wrestle with!!!

So remember I was telling you about our beehive. Well, when we got home from our camping trip, we had a second hive on our shed! Mikey decided it was time to do something since they were getting closer to the house. T.J. came over, in a make shift bee suit, and they sprayed them with some stuff and them fogged them, and then knocked them down. T.J. looked so funny, I had to get it on camera!! Well, our little pests are gone now, thanks to our exterminator!!!

Every August we go camping with Lonnie and Georgia, Heather and Myron, and other friends,too. This year our friends T.J. and Chaundra came again, and Heather and Myron's friends, the Waters. It was so nice! The weather was beautiful with a little bit of rain, the guys went fishing, and we went on our usual hike to the meadows. It was so much fun!! Thanks guys!!

Lately we have had a really hard time getting Karson to go to bed, day or night. When we put him in his bed, he will scream bloody murder and not give up for hours. Bunco!

So we have recently started playing bunco, and while I always have a great time, I was never any good. I have never won a prize or gotten a true bunco, where you get to wear the pink boa. So, we played last Wednesday, and I got three true buncos! I was so excited to wear the boa, I had to take a pic so I could blog it! I still have never won a prize, thanks to Melody getting five true buncos last time!! Thanks a lot Mel!!!!

Mikey was out in the yard yesterday spraying some pest control around the outside of the house and the yard. He was in the horse stables and looked up as he was about to spray this massive beehive!! It's huge! We're not sure how we are gonna get rid of it yet, and Mikey's allergic to bees!

Grandpa Pigeons (Morris)

Mikey's grandpa passed away this last Tuesday from cancer. He was such great man and we will miss him terribly. Eventhough he is in a much better place, his presence will be missed. The funeral was wonderful, and we are all blessed to have had him in our lives. Love you Grandpa Pigeons. Here is a copy of his obituary.

So we went to Mikey's Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Pinedale last week for a BBQ. Karson was, of course, all over the place. We were sitting there talking, and the next thing I know, he had fallen off the porch and down the stairs. Well, needless to say, he had his first big boo-boo right on his face.

The New Baby!

I had an appointment today and I am barely 14 weeks yesterday. The nurse was trying to find the baby's heartbeat, and she tried for a few minutes, but she couldn't find it. So, she sent me down the hall to get an ultrasound. I was pretty nervous, but trying to think positive. After having the miscarriage, I have a hard time at first until we hear or see the heartbeat. Anyway, we start the ultrasound, and she says, "No wonder they couldn't find the heartbeat, this baby is going crazy!" When I looked, the baby was punching, kicking, and arching its back - "bouncing off the walls," if you will. Then a few seconds later, she asks me,"Do you want to know the gender?" Of course I do, except for the fact that Mikey couldn't come today because he was working in Taylor! I was totally bummed! Then I got to thinking, if I'm barely 14 weeks along and she said she can definetly tell what it is, then I'm 99.9% sure it's a boy!!!!! I could be wrong - she just kept smiling and saying, "I didn't say anything!" when I said it must be a boy. Plus, I've heard that it is much easier to know if it is a boy this early, since they have some obvious parts that girls do not. So, on Aug. 20th we get to find out for sure, and I will be really shocked if it's a girl! It just bugs me a little to know that she knows for sure what we are having, and I don't!! (But pretty much do) Anyway, she took the ultrasound from the side so she wouldn't give anything away!!!

A couple of weeks ago, my mom, sister Brianna, and her son Jack came up to visit us and get out of the heat. It was sso great to have them here. I miss my family so much! Anyway, Karson and Jack had a blast together! They were so cute! They played outside and inside, and even had a few screaming contests. (They were perfectly happy, they would just scream and laugh at each other!!!)

So, a few weeks ago, our friends Chaundra and Ella came over so the kids could run and play in the sprinklers. Karson loved it, but Ella wasn't so sure!

So they just played together for a while. They were so cute! Chaundra and I noticed how different they are. Karson is such a boy and Ella is just a little girly girl. IIt's fun to watch because we know that those things are not learned - they just are what they are.

Morris Family Reunion '08

Mikey's family has a big reunion every June and they go camping near Whiteriver. We stayed the whole second week in June and had a blast! Karson thought he had died and gone to heaven. He loves being outside! We went fishing and swam in the river, and we brought our own little pool for the kids to swim in, too. I love being with family - there is nothing more important in this world!

P.S. In the picture where Karson has "brown hair," he actually had a bucket of dirt dumped over his head from one of his cousins!!! It was hilarious!

Snow in May?!

So we are driving home from Saint Johns where we went to Mikey's nephew's 8th grade graduation, and it started snowing!! It was crazy and snowed that night and a little the next morning. So I snapped a few pics of our yard in the morning. It looked more like January 23rd instead of May 23rd!!!

For those of you who don't know, Brianna and Matt were finally able to be sealed in the Mesa Temple yesterday. About two weeks ago, Matt got his letter from the First Presidency that it's ok to be sealed to Brianna. I am so happy for them! It was a wonderful event and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. Congrats you guys!!

When were at my mom and dad's house, Karson saw Papa working outside. He wanted to go out, so we put his shoes on. Right when I let him out, Papa turned on the sprinklers! Karson didn't know and ran right through the grass. He loved it!! He played out there for about 15 minutes, and every other day that we were there. He is such a crackup!!

Disneyland

Alright, I know it's a little late, but here it is. We went with Heather and Myron to Disneyland over Spring Break in March. It was so much fun!! Karson loved Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger!! He wouldn't stop hugging Pooh to take a picture for the longest time! I think it was the most fun I have ever had!!!

Our New Home

Ok, so we've been in our house since the begining of January, but I haven't talked about it yet. Well, it's about 1500 sq ft. on about 1.2 acres of land. For those of you who know the area, we live on Eager street past Short Stop. We've got horse corrals for three horses, but don't think we will be getting any. We might just board some horses to earn a little extra cash. Anyway, we also have a nice big store room on the side of the house.
You've also got to love the "Jeep of MANY COLORS" in the photo, too!

We had a blast painting Karson's room. For those of you who weren't fortunate enough to see it before, it had ugly 70's wood paneling up the sides and awesome pony wallpaper (NOT!). So we took all of that down, and painted his room mint green and chocolate brown. It turned out super cute!! The theme of is room is jungle animals, so it looks so awesome!

After Lexi's baptism, we went to Heather and Myron's for some food and cake. Papa was feeding Karson and Jack some delicious cake. He would tease them by holding it to one of their mouths and then quickly giving the bite to the other! It was hilarious! They would open their mouth so wide only to be left with an empty mouth!! But don't worry, in between bites, Karson would eat what was left on Jack's face!

The Saturday before Easter, we came down to the valley. We went out to the desert in the morning with the Morris'. Karson had a blast eating eggs, rocks, and hunting for Easter eggs!! He played with Nicolas and Hunter(Waters). Then we went to Nana and Papa Blair's house and hunted for more eggs with Heather's kids and Michael's kids. Later, we went to Lexi's baptism. It was a fun filled day!!

Morris Reunion '07

The Morris' have a family reunion in White River every June. Mikey's grandpa and his thirteen brothers and sisters and their kids and grandkids all come. There's a volleyball tournament, talent show, and games and stuff for the kids. I haven't been in the family long enough to know EVERYBODY (cuz there's a lot of people), but they all sure know how to have a good time.

It's a tradition every year before school starts to go camping at A-1 Lake. Heather and Myron started it, and we quickly joined (technically before we were even dating!). We've also started inviting friends and we just have a blast!! Fishing, eating smores, taking hikes, and just layin' around are favorites of these campers!!

Oh, yeah, Karson also got his first kiss here, too. It was from Ella!!!
